Collection contains a photocopy of a transcript of the letters and journals of the Rev. Benjamin Ashwell, of Kaitotehe, to the Church Missionary Society, 1834-1869. The work of the Mission is described, as well as native disputes, the King movement and the Maori wars of the 1860s.
