Scope and Contents From the Sub-Series:

The Head Office Executive held regular monthly meetings chaired by the General President, with the General Secretary in attendance. The Executive held meetings until 13 Aug 1924, when it was dissolved under an amendment to Rule 4 of the Union which created in its place a Committee of Management. The new committee held its first meeting 24 Nov 1924, and consisted of the General President, two vice-presidents and the General Secretary in attendance.

Scope and Contents From the Sub-Series: Stopwork meetings were held monthly, although on occasion special meetings would be called. Stopwork meetings were of course held in working hours. Minutes also exist for general meetings for 1920-1921. These were held in the evenings, out of working hours. Meetings were attended by rank-and-file members, the number depending upon the ships in port at the time. They were normally chaired by the Branch President or Vice-President.
