Correspondence
Scope and Contents
The filing arrangement of correspondence used by the Auckland Office has been retained. This arrangement was employed poorly by the secretarial staff and in consequence there is considerable overlapping. In particular, the general correspondence subseries (1a) contains a considerable body of material which should have been placed in the other series. From gaps which exist in the different sequences, it is apparent that some correspondence has either been destroyed or misplaced.
