Container 44. June 1920- May 1928. Pasted in bound volume., 1920 - 1928
Scope and Contents
Stopwork meetings were held monthly, although on occasion special meetings would be called. Stopwork meetings were of course held in working hours. Minutes also exist for general meetings for 1920-1921. These were held in the evenings, out of working hours. Meetings were attended by rank-and-file members, the number depending upon the ships in port at the time. They were normally chaired by the Branch President or Vice-President. In the absence of either of these a senior union member would be elected to the chair.
