George Fraser Gallery exhibition records

This collection consists of a visual record of the shows held at the George Fraser Gallery from the late 1980s through to the early 2000s. It also contains files of artists' work; not all artists represented went on to exhibit at the Gallery, but the files were retained as part of the gallery records.

In addition to the images, the collection includes some examples of exhibition applications and published ephemera used to promote and supplement the shows.

George G. Carter papers on the history of the Methodist Church in the Solomon Islands Western Province.

Research materials compiled for a history of the Methodist mission in the Solomon Islands which was not published. Includes research notes on Polynesian Methodist missionaries, biographical essays on Solomon Islanders, and notes on Solomon Island languages. Series 3 contains some significant original material gathered by Carter as part of his research: a translation of the diary of Ishmael Ngatu; papers of the Reverend John R. Metcalfe; and a diary of A.E. Stanford.

George L. Broad papers.

Scope and Contents George L. Broad donated his papers to the Library in 1973. They contain three sets of fair minutes, of the Auckland Fabian Club, 1929-1953, the Auckland University Labour Club, 1949-1950, and the Balmoral Branch of the New Zealand Labour Party, 1950-1956. The rest of the records in this collection are for the most part cyclostyled copies of minutes and reports that are duplicated elsewhere.
