In 1971 Huntsman visited Nukunonu with the Tokelau Islands Migrant Study (TIMS) medical team. This field trip was spent carrying out census work and collecting population and household information. Material relating to this period in the field can be found with other TIMS material in Series 3.

As in 1971 much of Huntsman's field work on this visit focussed on recording information on kaiga, including income and other TIMS related activities.
