Scope and Contents

From the Series:

The material in this series comprises almost entirely colour transparencies taken by McAra while overseas in the mid 1950s and early 1960s, a smaller number were taken in New Zealand and include images of family, friends and holiday scenes. There are also a number of rolls of negatives which relate to prints held elsewhere either in this collection or MSS & Archives A-139.

The transparencies were received in several small boxes either housed in slide boxes with labels by McAra, or loose in the box. The slides have been dusted and rehoused into archival quality slide pockets for their long term preservation and ease of use. Wherever possible the slides were put in order using numbers on the slides and gaps were left to indicate where slides were missing.
