This subseries contains notes made by Huntsman on food and cooking in Tokelau society including recipes for particular Tokelau dishes. The information collected by Huntsman while in the field was used to write the essay Tokelau cuisine in Mead, S. and Kernot, B. eds (1983) Arts and Artists of Oceania. Palmerston North: Dunmore Press. The essay was in turn adapted and used for the section on Tokelau in Skinner, G. (1983). The Cuisine of the South Pacific. Auckland: Hodder and Stoughton.
