Nukunonu - food diaries. These diaries were designed to document the intricate movement of food stuffs within kaiga focussing on the women (or their daughters) who both distributed and received. The diaries were all written in Tokelauan and in ensuing conversations they explained their practice (based both on principles and pragmatics). The records demonstrate how both kaiga and household practice follows variable but well-articulated principles. Handwritten diary pages and typed extracts some with translations., 1968 - 1968
