An open open letter headed A Social Document. Concerning the purported role played by Fintan Patrick Walsh and Sir Ernest Davis in Lee's expulsion from the Labour Party the document includes extracts from letters written to Lee by Conrad Bollinger in 1971. There is an appended note to the University Library, signed by Lee.

Scope and Contents Beckerleg’s papers were donated to The University of Auckland Library in 1969 by Wilfred McAra on behalf of the ESPAL society. McAra, a member of the New Zealand Communist Party, worked under Beckerleg’s supervision as a law clerk during the 1920s at the law firm A. Hanna, Solicitors, Auckland. Papers include correspondence relating to Herbert Thatcher's non- payment of the General Unemployment Levy, 1932-1935; New Zealand Timber Workers' Union records; reminiscences of Mount Eden Prison; eight volumes of newspaper clippings; letters from Lincoln Efford; and 1943 election ephemera and letters to Thatcher concerning pacifism and social reform.

Caucus minutes from December 4 1935 to November 4 1938. Minutes for December 3 1935 and February 17 1937 have been annotated by John A. Lee.

Scope and Contents Collection includes minutes, correspondence and membership records. Some of the minutes are copies relating to the stopwork meetings of other branches.
