An open open letter headed A Social Document. Concerning the purported role played by Fintan Patrick Walsh and Sir Ernest Davis in Lee's expulsion from the Labour Party the document includes extracts from letters written to Lee by Conrad Bollinger in 1971. There is an appended note to the University Library, signed by Lee.

Scope and Contents Beckerleg’s papers were donated to The University of Auckland Library in 1969 by Wilfred McAra on behalf of the ESPAL society. McAra, a member of the New Zealand Communist Party, worked under Beckerleg’s supervision as a law clerk during the 1920s at the law firm A. Hanna, Solicitors, Auckland.
