. Concerning the purported role played by Fintan Patrick Walsh and Sir Ernest Davis in Lee's expulsion from the Labour Party the document includes extracts from letters written to Lee by Conrad Bollinger in 1971. There is an appended note to the University Library, signed by Lee.

Biographical / Historical
John Alexander Lee (1891-1982) was a noted writer and political commentator who was elected to Parliament in 1922. He served in the first Labour Government until his expulsion from the Party in 1940.
