Charles Egerton letters to H.J. Allen.
Collection consists of a folder of photocopies of letters written by Charles William Egerton to his friend H.J. Allen in India who was then teaching at Presidency College, Madras. The letters contain interesting insights into university life, New Zealand social circumstances
and Egerton's family life. The eleven letters date from 1894 to 1916.
Edmond De Montalk papers.
These papers include De Montalk's reading diary, 1891- 1894, reading and visitors' diary, 1894-1899, a letter, 20 December 1876, from E. Littre, Paris, concerning Littre's dictionary, 16 photographs of family and friends, and a newsclipping report of the death of Thomas Arnold.
Frederick Douglas Brown papers.
Four notebooks containing mathematical notes made while Brown studied at the Lycee de Strasbourg; one volume of newspaper clippings; two briefs, which were presented to Parliament, relating to the Dilworth Trustees Act 1902.
