The Club was founded in 1922 by members of the Natural Sciences Departments of the University and remained within the University until the Club ceased to exist in 1992. All the papers of the Club were, it seems, taken to the Museum by members of the Field Club who continued the publication of the Club journal Tane under...

Charles Egerton letters to H.J. Allen.

Collection consists of a folder of photocopies of letters written by Charles William Egerton to his friend H.J. Allen in India who was then teaching at Presidency College, Madras. The letters contain interesting insights into university life, New Zealand social circumstances and Egerton's family life. The eleven letters date from 1894 to 1916.
