Additional Description

Immediate Source of Acquisition

The material in this collection was mostly transferred from Ron Holloway's Griffin Press by Alan Loney between 1993 - 1998. After Holloway's death in 2003, further material was transferred to Special Collections by Stephen Innes in May 2003. Small amounts of additional material has also been added to the collection by Tara McLeod in September 2003 and 2004.

Separated Materials

The following published item was removed from the collection and transferred to the Glass Case in March 2021. Holbein, H. & Deuchar, D. (1803). The dances of death, through the various stages of human life... London : Printed by W. Smith for J. Scott. Glass Case 767.2 D17 1803s.

Processing Information

Processing began on this collection in late 2022 with the separation of the bulk of the published material, from the archival part of the collection. In due course the published material will be catalogued and made available through the Book Catalogue, their Griffin Press provenance will however, be retained. The remaining cartons of archival material are currently unprocessed but can be accessed on request by contacting Special Collections at specialcollections@auckland.ac.nz
