The D. & E. Organisation Multiple Telegrams and Drafts
., 1942 - 1961
Scope and Contents
The correspondence in this series is a mixture of cyclostyled circular letters and one off letters to members of parliament, world leaders, etc., urging action on various topical issues. The replies from recipients are often just a formal acknowledgement but some, notably from members of the first Labour cabinet show more personal interest in the D. & E. Organisation’s ideas. Correspondents include, John A. Lee, Jack Lyon, P. Neilson, Norman Douglas, Rewi Alley, Keith Holyoake and Peter Fraser.
The correspondence has been maintained in the order in which it was received by the Library, some was received loose and unsorted and the remainder in clearly labelled folders.
