Scrapbooks and clippings.

 Sub-Series
Identifier: MSS Archives. 2011/01. Series 13. Sub-Series 13/1

Scope and Contents

A scrapbook or clipping book covering the activities of the Auckland Branch from its formation in the 1920s until the early 1970s can be found in MSS & Archives A-279, New Zealand Federation of University Women. This subseries includes newspaper clippings, ephemera and similar material accumulated by the Branch for compiling later scrapbooks. Some material was found loose in blank scrap books obviously purchased to create new scrapbooks but never used, while other material was photocopied by Margaret Gapes to produce two printed scrapbooks during the 1990s. The unsorted accumulated material has been arranged into two runs, an alphabetical run of folders containing biographical material documenting the careers and activities of individual Branch members and another chronological run relating to Branch and Federation activities and topics of interest.
