This series contains conference programmes, minutes, reports, ephemera and notes made by attendees at International Federation of University Women (IFUW) Conferences, regional conferences and council meetings. For most of its history the IFUW held conferences every three years, with some variation during the Second World War. Despite being geographically isolated, New Zealand sent delegations, including members of the Auckland Branch, to many overseas IFUW events. On more than one occasion the New Zealand delegations extended their conference experience with tours of the host country and neighbouring regions. As with many items in this collection some of the papers collected by the Branch Archivist to document the Branch’s involvement in IFUW activities; are in fact the papers of individual members. Where particular sets of conference papers could be identified as belonging to an individual this has been noted in the item description.
