From the Series:

Over time the Auckland Branch employed a number of methods of filing their correspondence, including maintaining separate inwards and outwards correspondence files and separate files for the Branch President’s correspondence. Many files contain a range of related papers including leaflets, brochures, newsletters and copies of meeting minutes. Some files include applications for the awards and fellowships offered annually by the Branch. The variation in filing methods and the type of related material included with the correspondence reflects different recordkeeping styles of various branch secretaries, most of whom who served a two year term in office. The files of correspondence in this series cover the period April 1951 to February 2000 and have been divided into four sub series: inwards correspondence, Presidents correspondence - predominantly inwards, outwards correspondence and miscellaneous correspondence. Within each sub-series the files have been arranged chronologically.
