Letters, inwards and outwards, concerned mainly with the Solomon Islands History Project. The letters reveal Carter’s difficulties in carrying the project through. They also contain biographical material on Solomon Islands mission personalities in the form of replies to letters from Carter seeking information from individuals about their memories and experiences in the Islands.
