Scope and Contents

Material relating to Anthropology 03.311: Studies in Oral Literature. A course taught by Judith Huntsman between 1974 and 1988. The course is described in the 1988 University Calendar as follows: "The study of oral narrative and other folklore materials. Various theoretical frameworks and analytical techniques are considered and applied to materials drawn from Pacific and other societies".

The student's essays found here were retained by Huntsman as exemplars with the permission of the students who wrote them.
