. Includes Henderson, Glendene, Kelston, Mangere, Otara and Manurewa., 1972 - 1972
Scope and Contents
This subseries contains material relating to research undertaken by Judith Huntsman and Antony Hooper for TIMS in New Zealand mainly in 1972. This research included conducting a detailed survey of Tokelau households in New Zealand, recording the residents of each household, their kinship relationships, employment, household finances, language spoken, and state and size of house. Huntsman conducted the Wellington surveys and Hooper the majority of the survey work in Auckland, Taupo, Rotorua and the South Island. In general the Wellington surveys are more detailed than those completed for the Auckland households and include some additional information including details of the households gardens and vegetables grown.
