Scope and Contents The papers which make up the core of this collection were donated to The University of Auckland by Wilfred (Bill) McAra a prominent member of Communist Party of New Zealand (CPNZ) on behalf of the ESPAL Society. Scope and Contents George L. Broad donated his papers to the Library in 1973. They contain three sets of fair minutes, of the Auckland Fabian Club, 1929-1953, the Auckland University Labour Club, 1949-1950, and the Balmoral Branch of the New Zealand Labour Party, 1950-1956. The rest of the records in this collection are for the most part cyclostyled copies of minutes and reports that are duplicated elsewhere.
