Collection includes diaries, codes and a sketch relating to Kennedy's role as a coastwatcher during the Second World War. The papers were received in an old suitcase which has been retained as part of the collection. The suitcase has Japanese characters on the lid which read Made in 1941, Electrically Heated Flight Suit. The collection has yet to be fully processed.

Scope and Contents This collection contains papers relating to the lives of two members of the Jones family, Albert Henry Jones and Lina Maud Jones, organised into two series. The first series comprises letters, photographs, postcards, publications, pamphlets and other ephemera created or collected by Albert Jones while a civilian internee in the Ruhleben prison camp near Spandau, Germany during the First World War. Scope and Contents

Consists of transcripts of the reminiscences of a number of Solomon Islanders concerning their experiences in the Islands during WW II. Reminiscences include their reactions to Japanese control, allied landings, contact and military co-operation with NZ and American troops.
