Scope and Contents From the Series: Note - Items Nos. 259–261 and Nos. 262–265 are not correspondence addressed to the High Commissioner, and the Archivist, Mr. B. Burne, apparently therefore decided that these items should be sent to the Gilbert and/or Ellice Islands - see GEIC List No. 32. Item No 262, however falls into a different category, involving Colonial Office correspondence, and, though it had been removed by Mr. Burne for transmission to the Gilbert Islands, it has been left as Item No. 262 in this List especially...
