Scope and Contents
This collection consists of photographs of staff and students of the Elam School of Fine Arts, primarily taken for the purpose of display within the Department. Photographs are mainly of first-year class groups, but also include senior section photographs, and staff mug-shots and groups shots.
Class rolls, negatives, small prints and mounted enlargements are represented, some of which identify students by name.

Biographical / Historical
Wallace (Wally) H. Floyd is an American photographer who was a member of the Elam School of Fine Arts technical staff from 1976 until his retirement in 1992.
Initially he studied liberal arts at the University of Washington, Seattle, then photography in Palo Alto, California, while pursuing alternating careers as a professional jazz drummer and as a professional colour laboratory technician.
At Elam he was technical advisor to all photographic students working in black and white photography through to advanced colour printing.
