Scope and Contents From the Series:

These unique papers were passed to McAra by trade unionist and Communist Party member John Mitchell. They appear to be part of the records of William Moxsom who was the secretary of the Auckland Central Branch of the Social Democratic Party. William Moxsom (ca1860s-1945), an active trade unionist was secretary of the Auckland Trades and Labour Council, and of the Auckland Cutters and Presser Union and other clothing workers unions from the 1920s until his death in 1945.
