Letter handwritten to Marata Tetere from B. Tetere, also signed as Baron C. de Thierry. Sent from Te Papa to Tauranga, on 25 Aug 1881. Written in Maori. Contains discussion about some of their letter being lost, also a small piece about land. A small part of the letter, (at the end) is written by Rihari, possibly Marata is Rihari's mother. Three correspondences in the one letter to Marata Tetere: (i) From Mrs C. B. de Thierry. Acknowledges the recieved watermelon. Inquires about whether the letter containing a pound note has been recieved. (ii) From Baron. C. de Thierry. Acknowledges the placement of Marata on two block schedules and the awaiting of Raimai and Mangatotara judgment. (iii) From Rihari Gives salutations and informs Marata of the well being of everyone and mentions recent deceased. The whole communication is scribed by one person., 1881 - 1881
