ED 4 files proper, ie. filed according to OUP's numbered system, appear ti begin after 1980, and to end at 1986. Material, boxed as ED 4, pre-dating 1980 has been retained in the original folders. Some of the files would appear to be more properly ED 1 or ED 2. There are 6 series of ED 4 files.
