The collection contains printed materials relating the Maryan Street’s trade union activities during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Street was Vice-President of the Auckland District Council of Trade Unions (CTU) between 1987 and 1990 and was an active member of the CTU Women’s and Education Committees. She also served as Chair of the Auckland Steering Committee of the Trade Union Education Authority (TUEA) and was a member of the Trade Union Education Taskforce.
