These represent an epitome of correspondence and documents relating to Imperial Migration, and the Mass Migration and Parengarenga Development Schemes. Letters to and from New Zealand parliamentarians and possible patrons in England – Lord Nuffield and others. Copies of brochures prepared for schemes by F.O.V. Acheson. Includes a note Small Farm Settlement, describing plans for settlement in the Waikato referring to the schemes of Daniel V. Bryant and H. Valder, to which is attached a letter from H. Judge Acheson’s view of certain Maori schemes and causes differed from that of the Department and this led ultimately to the revocation of his appointment to the Native Land Court in 1943.
