Scope and Contents

Collection includes publications, clippings, photographs and other memorabilia relating to the history of the University of Auckland Department of Geology. The material in this collection was collected by the Geology Department and originally housed in the departmental library. It was transferred to Special Collections in March 2002 by the by the Geology Librarian Eva Leaming. At the time of transfer a number of items, including departmental mark books and class rolls were transferred to the University’s Administrative Archives while a notebook and set of slides created by Professor John Bartrum were placed with his papers in MSS & Archives 2012/4.
