Scope and Contents

The collection consists of unedited videorecordings of Samoan language, culture, oratory, music, dance, oral histories, political structure, and social life and customs, compiled by the Samoan Studies Institute, American Samoa Community College.

The materials are organised by series based on subject, using titles provided by the Institute. The collection was purchased from the Institute in 2008, along with a number of commercially produced videorecordings of the Institute which were transferred to the Audiovisual Library.
