Scope and Contents
Collection comprises the lecture notes and laboratory books kept by Colin Little while studying geology at Auckland University College in 1946.
By providing an example of student's work this collection compliments other Special Collections holdings relating to the Geology Department at Auckland University College especially those of Professor John Bartrum (MSS & Archives 2012/4) who was the only lecturer in the Department in 1946.

Biographical / Historical
Little, E.C.S (Colin) QSO MBE FNZIAS, MSc Dphil (Oxon). Colin Little was a science student at Auckland University College during the 1940s, completing an MSc in Botany in 1948. Specialising in agricultural research, during his career Little worked for ICI, the International Atomic Energy Agency and the FAO. In 1974 he returned to New Zealand and settled in Kerikeri.
