Biographical / Historical

John Geraets was born and educated in Auckland, where he gained a Ph.D in English in 1982 for his thesis on the work of Charles Brasch at Landfall.

Editor of Brief and its predecessor A Brief History of the Whole World, from 1999-2002.

The collection also includes material relating to Alan Loney's time as editor from the foundation of the journal in 1995 to 1998.
