Scope and Contents
Letters and journals written by the Rev. Henry and Mrs Marianne Williams, and the Rev. William and Mrs Jane Williams, 1822-1864. The letters and journals describe pioneering life, missionary activities and relations with the Maoris in the Bay of Islands and on the East Coast. The extracts have been copied by an unidentified compiler, and they cover the following periods: September 15 1822-October 8 1824; September 12 1825-August 31 1831; September 22 1828-October 11 1864.
