Biographical / Historical
Ernest Langford was: secretary-economist to the Hon. D. G. Sullivan in the First Labour Administration, 1936-1947; assistant general manager, New Zealand Railways, 1947-1951; No. 1 and No. 2 Transport Licensing Authority, 1960-1963; Transport consultant, 1964-. He was a member of the New Zealand Labour Party and stood unsuccessfully for parliament and the Wellington City Council. He was active in the Church of England, National Council of Churches, and Student Christian Movement.
