The diary covers the period 16 June 1900 to 1 February 1901, and describes a tour of Northland and the Rotorua-Tauranga counties, and the sale of Tarapunga, a 500-acre farm near Amberley, Canterbury. The diary also contains pasted-in newspaper clippings.
