Biographical / Historical
Rev William Jellie (1865-1963) was a Unitarian minister, WEA lecturer and Dante enthusiast.
Jellie first lectured for the WEA in Timaru in 1923 and in 1924 was elected president of the Timaru Branch. In 1925 he was transferred to Auckland and in the following year began tutoring for the Auckland WEA. He served as Vice President from 1936-1938 and remained on the executive for 1939.
