Immediate Source of Acquisition

Anonymous gift, September 1978. Found in a house belonging to Archie Boermell and his son, Reg.

Possibly Archibald Michael Boermel born 11 September 1904 in Assam, India and died in New Zealand in 1977. Appears on Australian Electoral roll for 1943 and his name appears on two personnel files held by the Australian National Archives which suggest he served in the Merchant Navy during WWII. Boermel is a very uncommon name.
