Biographical / Historical
The Values Party was established in 1972 and is considered one the world's first environmental political parties. It contested the 1972, 1975, 1978 and 1981 general elections. The remnants of the party merged with other environmental groups to form the Green Party of Aotearoa New Zealand in 1990.
