The New Zealand Asian Studies Society (NZASIA) is an independent body established in 1974 which aims to encourage the spread of knowledge about Asia, its history, its culture and its role in international affairs by fostering research by its members and others, by holding of conferences and scientific meetings, through publications and periodicals and through subsidising research and travel.
