Biographical / Historical
The University of Auckland Ski Club is an affiliated member of the AUSA. The Club was formed in 1966 prior to this there was an unaffiliated Auckland University College Ski Club which was formed in the early 1950s. The Club has a 32 bed lodge at Whakapapa on Mt Ruapeahu which is the focus of its activities. The Ski Club is currently referred to as the University of Auckland Snowsports Club to reflect the fact that members undertake a range of winter sports including skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing.
