Scope and Contents

Correspondence with New Zealand authors. Some written in a personal capacity, and others relating to contributions to Gatenby's books, especially Whales : a celebration, Boston : Little, Brown, 1983, and works exploring the responses of foreign authors to Canada. Includes some original poems.

Biographical note

Greg Gatenby was born in Toronto in 1950. He received a B.A. in English from York University in 1972. From 1973-1975, he was an editor at McClelland & Stewart. He was artistic director of the Harbourfront Reading Series and the International Festival of Authors for many years.
