Scope and Contents
Panoramic photograph of a rally organised by the Federation of Labour and the New Zealand Labour Party on 9 October 1938 in the Auckland Domain. The rally on the Sunday before the general election was attended by over 80,000 people. About 27,000 unionists marched with the large banners which can be seen in the photograph from the wharfs to the Domain.
