Scope and Contents
This series contains folders of material sometimes from a range of contexts which have been grouped together on the basis of their contents being union related. The folders are arranged alphabetically by union name. Some of the material found here relates to McAra's direct involvement with particular unions such as the Carpenters' Union while other items reveal his relationship with various unions as part of his CPNZ activities. A proportion of the material belongs to other individuals, such as McAra's partner Diana Wilsie and relates to their involvement with a particular union. Contents include leaflets, newsletters, newspaper clippings and arbitration court submissions similar to those in Series 5. Some folders include correspondence to McAra from other members of the CPNZ and from union officials regarding union matters. Other folders contain correspondence to and from others regarding union matters.
