Scope and Contents

The bulk of this series comprises of an extensive collection of original cartoons drawn by Frank S. Dromgoole (1910 -1988). The cartoons dating from the 1940s and early 1950s were created by Dromgoole for the People’s voice. The pen and ink cartoons are on sheets of heavy, approximately A3 sized, drawing paper, frequently both sides of each sheet has been drawn on. Many of the cartoons have been annotated in pencil with instructions regarding their reproduction for inclusion in the People’s voice.
