Contains publicity and material including leaflets, invitations and flyers, correspondence, speech notes and newspaper clippings. Of special interest is the correspondence relating to the CPNZ's campaign for an allocation of public broadcasting time during the 1957, 1960, 1963 and 1966 elections. McAra himself was a candidate in the 1960 and 1966 elections. Some folders also contain reference copies of campaign material for other political parties.
