This series includes minute books, annual reports, conference papers, invitations, flyers, leaflets, circulars, and correspondence relating to CPNZ activities at district and branch level. A large proportion of the material relates to the Auckland District and Auckland City Branch of which McAra and later his partner Diana Wilsie were active members. The material pertaining to the activities of the Gisborne Branch of the CPNZ are part of the personal papers of Oliver B. Y. Gregory (1909 - 1974), whose papers McAra collected and donated to the Library with his own papers. Other papers belonging to Gregory can be found in MSS & Archives A-139.
