Minute book. Fair minutes of meetings of ‘Brewery Union’ 25 July 1936 to 10 Mar 1964 (handwritten). A letter pasted in the back of this book is on a letterhead of the Auckland Brewers’, Wine and Spirit Merchants’ and Aerated Water Employees’ Industrial Union of Workers, and is dated 26 Jan 1915. It refers to a meeting of Aerated Water Employees and Employees in Bottling Departments of Condiment Factories to be held on 2 Feb 1915., 1936 - 1964

Scope and Contents

From the Series:

First registered in 1939 as Brewers and Aerated Water Employees, though the title varied with each of the provincial branches. See H.11 Appendices to the Journals of the House of Representatives. 1939. However, an Auckland Union of Brewery Workers was already in existence in 1915, see copy of letter in Minute Book, Auckland Branch, Item 1.1.2.
