Amuri and Anaunga (Aitutaki) Native Land Court Titles Register. , 1902 - 1975

The original volumes are 14“x16” ledger-type semi-bound books which have typed entries on separate pages for each named parcel of land. They record the succession (inheritance) orders, leases, partition orders, determination of relative interests etc; in short the record of all court transactions regarding any particular piece of land.

By themselves the Title registers seem to be of limited value, but they are a necessary key to the minute-books.

Note that the Native Land Court Titles Registers are not arranged chronologically nor are pages numbered as pages. Pages are arranged sequentially according to the number of the section of land they refer to.
