From the Series:

General correspondence files were maintained for the Auckland Branch from 1980-1991. Letters were divided into inwards and outwards only from 1985 when items were numbered and indexes compiled. The files have been transferred to permanent folders as they were found (some in bundles tied with insulated wire). Much of the itemised inwards correspondence is made up of documents and papers from the National Executive. Inwards correspondence, therefore, represents incoming material rather than solely incoming letters.

A separate box was labelled Circulated Correspondence 1989-1990.
